Skateboarders to shred in Carolina Beach for first ever contest

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Carolina Beach will have its first ever skateboard competition and it’s happening this weekend.

The Nollie’s Salsa Shred Pro/AM Skateboarding Competition will take place at Mike Chappell Park on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Registration is free and the rain date is on Sunday.

The Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce wrote on Facebook that this is the first skateboard competition to come to the park.
