A look back at the Oak Island shark attacks one year later
OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — It’s been one year since two shark attacks within an hour and a mile of each other at Oak island.
The odds of getting attacked and killed by a shark are one in more than 3.7 million according to the Wildlife Museum website. It said you’re much more likely to drown than encounter a shark in the water.
So, when a shark, or sharks, bit two teens on June 14 one year ago, It was even more of a shock to the victims, and the Cape Fear.
