ALDI now hiring for Wilmington store

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) –  ALDI wants to start hiring employees for its planned store in Wilmington.

ALDI is set to open in the spring over near Pine Valley.

They’re currently looking to hire store associates, shift managers, and manager trainees.

On Monday, ALDI representatives will be at SpringHill Suites near Mayfaire from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

According to an ALDI news release, applicants must be willing to work at the store in Jacksonville until the Wilmington store opens in 2017.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• Must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday – Sunday
• Retail experience preferred
• Management experience preferred for Manager Trainees
• Drug screening and background check
• Ability to lift 45 pounds
• Must be willing to work at Jacksonville, NC store until the Wilmington store opens in spring 2017

Positions:

•  Store Associate – $11.35 per hour ($12.50 per hour after 1 year)
•  Shift Manager – $15.35 per hour ($16.50 per hour after 1 year)
•  Manager Trainee – $53,350 per year ($21.60 per hour averaging 45 hours per week), with an opportunity to earn $75,000 to $90,000 per year as a Store Manager)
