American Pickers’ coming to North Carolina, looking for hidden treasures in Pender County

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Have a collection of antiques or some unusual treasures tucked away? The team behind “American Pickers” wants to hear from you.

The History Channel series plans to film episodes across Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina in November and is looking for potential collections to feature, including in Pender County.

“American Pickers” follows antique pickers as they travel around the country looking for rare, historically significant and unusual items while learning the stories behind them.

Producers are currently looking for leads from people who have unique items or collections, a story to share and items they are willing to sell.

The show is looking for private collections and does not consider stores, flea markets, malls, auction businesses, museums or other locations open to the public.

People interested in being considered are asked to provide their name, phone number, location, a description of the collection and photos.
