Tanner Barth joined the WWAY team in September of 2018 as sports anchor. Tanner was born and raised in a small town in southeastern Colorado. He graduated from Kansas State University in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications & Journalism with a minor in Political Science. Before joining the team at WWAY, Tanner was a sports reporter at KKCO-TV in Grand Junction, CO. He has a passion for not only playing sports, but providing the best coverage he can to the Cape Fear. Obusek’s career night not enough as UNCW Women’s Basketball falls to Towson

Redshirt senior guard Kionna Jeter scored 21 of her game-high 30 points in the second half as Towson pulled away from UNCW to secure a 77-66 victory over the Seahawks in Colonial Athletic Association women's basketball action at Trask Coliseum on Thursday evening.

UNCW Baseball takes wild game one against Cincinnati

Every starter had at least one hit as UNCW opened an early lead and continued to tack on runs in a 14-10 win over Cincinnati on Thursday at Brooks Field.

Garner Magnet outscored Ashley by eight points in the third quarter of Tuesday nights NCHSAA State Semifinal game and that proved to be the difference. The Trojans advance to the Class 4A title game with the 73-67 win over the Screamin' Eagles.
