WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina Azalea Festival is teaming up with The Kevin Walker Foundation to host the “Dink If You Dare” Pickleball Tournament this weekend at Pickle & Taps.

The event, happening Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., combines Halloween fun with friendly competition and community spirit. Organizers say the tournament is part of the festival’s year-round effort to celebrate Wilmington’s energy, Southern charm, and the arts.

Players and spectators can expect fast-paced pickleball action, live entertainment, and creative Halloween costumes during the Courtside Costume Contest. The day will also include a Chef Driven food truck, sponsor activations, and high-stakes prizes for tournament winners.

The tournament will feature several levels of play: beginner open social play from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by all-level social play from noon to 2 p.m. The costume contest winners will be announced at 2 p.m.

The event will take place at Pickle & Taps, located at 1207 S. 13th St. in Wilmington. Partners and sponsors include The North Carolina Azalea Festival, The Kevin Walker Foundation, Pickle & Taps, Bowstring Brewyard, Stretch Lab, and EmergeOrtho Coastal Region.
