Bellamy Mansion Museum hosts art exhibit celebrating America’s history and foodways

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Bellamy Mansion Museum is hosting a new art exhibition by Wilmington artist Ricardo Perez that explores American history and historic food traditions.

“A Closer Look: America 250 & Historic Foodways” is on display through Oct. 25 at the museum, located at 503 Market St. in downtown Wilmington.

According to the museum, the exhibit features portraits commemorating the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary alongside still life paintings highlighting America’s culinary heritage.

The exhibit is free to view during regular museum hours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Visitors can check in at the Carriage House Visitor Center for admission.

An artist reception with Perez is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m.
