WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Bellamy Mansion Museum is now hosting a new art exhibition highlighting the creativity and craftsmanship of local quilters.

Titled “A Year of Fiber Art,” the exhibit features 40 quilts created by members of the Quilters by the Sea Guild. The collection includes pieces developed through three quilting challenges, showcasing a wide range of styles—from patriotic themes to whimsical and abstract designs.

The exhibition opened April 30 and will run through July 26, with viewing available daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the exhibit is free, with visitors asked to check in at the museum’s Carriage House Visitor Center.

An artist reception is scheduled for May 22 from 6 to 8 p.m., offering the public an opportunity to meet participating artists and learn more about their work.

Museum officials say the exhibit celebrates both artistic expression and the rich tradition of quilting, inviting the community to experience fiber art in a historic setting.
