Bellamy Mansion Museum to host Painting and Preservation talk-and-tour

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Bellamy Mansion Museum will offer visitors a behind-the-scenes look at historic preservation and painting techniques during a special talk-and-tour event this weekend.
The program, titled “Painting and Preservation at the Bellamy,” is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the museum.
The 90-minute event will be led by Jeremy Gunn of JBG Services, in collaboration with Legacy Architectural Salvage. Gunn, whose company completed the exterior painting of the Bellamy Mansion in 2024, will guide attendees through the historic site while discussing traditional painting methods, materials, and best practices for preserving historic structures.
Organizers say the tour will offer participants a deeper understanding of how preservation work is carried out on a landmark property, including how modern techniques can be used while respecting historic integrity. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the program.
The event is $20 per person, plus tax, and proceeds will benefit both the Bellamy Mansion Museum and the Historic Wilmington Foundation. Space is limited, and advance registration is required.
