BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — 44-year-old William Bryan Clark of Elizabethtown was arrested after the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office received information from the District Attorney’s office in reference to a threatening email.

According to the Bladen County District Attorney’s Office, the email’s message suggested a plan to “blow up” the courthouse.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations looked into the IP address from the email, which led investigators to an address in the 300 block of Glenwood Drive, Elizabethtown.

Clark is being charged with one count of Felony False Bomb Report.

During his first court appearance on Friday, October 30, Clark was given a $2,000,000 secured bond.
