Boiling Spring Lakes Police: man wanted for kidnapping, larceny


 

BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC (WWAY) — Police are looking for a man they say took a car with child inside.

According to Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department, 26-year-old Joshua Brandon Miller took a 2016 Toyota Corolla from outside the Olde Brunswick Store located at Fifty Lakes Drive and NC Highway 133 around 4:oo p.m. Thursday.

Police say Miller was originally a passenger in the car, but drove off when the driver went inside the store. A three year old was also in the car at the time. Miller drove a short distance from the store and left the child in the middle of the Fifty Lakes Drive. The child was not hurt and returned safely to her mother.

Miller is described as 5′ 6″ and 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. The car has a North Carolina license plate EBK-8338.

Officials say he is last known to live in the Winnabow area.
