Bolton murder suspect arrested at Wilmington Walmart

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – US Marshals arrested a murder suspect last night at a Wilmington Walmart.

On Monday, Marion Shaw was found dead inside a home at 22096 Andrew Jackson Highway in Bolton. Shaw had been shot.

The SBI, New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, and US Marshals secured the Walmart parking lot at 8035 Market Street and arrested Charles Grant Wilson, 43.

Wilson is charged with Murder.

US Marshals also arrested Bonnie Suzanne Hewett, who was with Wilson last night.

She and Wilson also face charges out of Pender County for Breaking and Entering into several homes.

Hewett and Wilson are also charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Larceny of a Firearm and Possession of Firearm by a Felon.

Wilson is in the Columbus County jail under no bond.

Hewett is in the Pender County jail under a $10,000 bond.

Columbus County Sheriff Lewis Hatcher extends his gratitude to the NCSBI, US Marshals, and NHCSO for their assistance apprehending the defendant.  “Your assistance was vital in this operation and ensuring the public’s safety,” Sheriff Hatcher said. He also offered his condolences to Shaw’s family.  “The Shaw family has suffered a loss and need the community’s continued support and prayers.”
