Broadway returns to Wilmington at Wilson Center

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College has officially announced its 2026-2027 “Broadway and the Beach” season, bringing another lineup of national touring Broadway productions to Wilmington following a strong year of community support for the arts.
The Wilson Center hosted 22 performances during the past season and plans to expand to 28 performances across eight productions for the upcoming season.
The lineup will feature a mix of modern hits and Broadway classics, including Waitress, Shucked, and The Wiz.
Wilson Center Executive Director Zach Pluer said the venue aims to bring Broadway-caliber entertainment closer to local audiences.
“It’s so exciting to see everyone’s excitement about these shows that they have traveled to see, to have them now be coming to Wilmington, to have that excitement, to have a show that spans every demographic, every age group. We really do try to program specifically our Broadway series to do that. We think it’s a really great season,” Pluer said.
The Wilson Center also announced that its annual “Community Day” event will return in July. During the event, a limited number of $25 in-person tickets will be offered for each show in the series.
Officials said the full sales timeline for the 2026-2027 season will be released at a later date.
