Brunswick Co. Commissioners to consider reverse osmosis plant

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Commissioners plan to hold a workshop in May to learn more about installing a $99 million reverse osmosis system at the Northwest Water Treatment Plant.

During their regular meeting Monday night, commissioners heard a recommendation from the engineering firm hired earlier this year to test advanced water treatment systems.

The report found the RO pilot system removed all of the target contaminants including GenX.

Brunswick commissioners plan to hold the workshop on Thursday, May 10 at 1 p.m.
