Brunswick County man arrested on firearm charges

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Authorities in Brunswick County arrested an Ash man Friday evening after a joint investigation.

David Raefore Tripp, Jr. of Russetown Road was arrested on two counts of Possession of Firearm by a felon. Tripp was convicted in 1997 of felony child abuse resulting in serious injury.

Tripp is currently being held in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $20,000 secured bond.
