Burgaw man facing child solicitation charges

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Pender County man is facing charges in connection with an investigation out of Pitt County.

Deputies said Ervin Dale Johnson, 51, solicited a child by computer for the purpose of committing a sex act. The investigation began in Pitt County, but deputies said there could be more victims.

Johnson was jailed under a $50,000 bond. Anyone with information regarding other incidents can contact the Pender County Sheriff’s Office.
