Burgaw to hold annual Veterans Day ceremony on Nov. 11

BURGAW, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Burgaw is inviting residents to come together next week for its annual Veterans Day ceremony honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

The ceremony will take place Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at 115 S. Dickerson St. in Burgaw.

The event is free and open to the public, offering veterans, military families and community members an opportunity to recognize the courage, sacrifice and service of those who have served in the military.

Town officials say the annual observance also serves as a reminder to younger generations about the importance of honoring veterans and preserving their legacy.

The ceremony is organized through a partnership between the Daughters of the American Revolution, the local American Legion Post, Burgaw Cub Scouts and the Town of Burgaw.

Organizers encourage residents of all ages to attend and show their appreciation for the sacrifices made by military veterans.

The event is part of the town’s continued efforts to recognize those who have served and bring the community together in their honor.
