Cape Fear Fair & Expo comes to a close

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The last day of The Cape Fear Fair and Expo in Wilmington is Sunday.

The fair introduced three new shows for the 2018 season. When people bought a ticket into the fair, they got free admission to each of the shows.

From acrobatics to magic tricks, the shows are family friendly.

Safety Director Joe Cina says the rides and animal races are always the most popular.

Cina also says that despite Hurricane Florence, they have seen even more people come out this year.

“It’s almost like they’re taking a break from what we’ve been through. And they’re just coming out here and enjoying themselves as a neighborhood,” said Cina. “We like seeing that. We enjoy it. We enjoy hearing the stories when people come out. Obviously people send us Facebook messages on social media. And we’re just happy to facilitate and give back to the community every year.”

Cina says tickets are $22, which includes parking, admission, unlimited rides and shows.

The fair is open tonight until 11pm Sunday.
