Car accident on Carolina Beach Road

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WWAY) — A car accident on Carolina Beach Road is backing up traffic on Sunday afternoon.

The accident took place on Carolina Beach Road near Antoinette Drive, which is fairly close to where Carolina Beach Road meets up with S. College Road.

Both southbound lanes of Carolina Beach Road have been closed off at Willoughby Park Road.
