Carolina Beach leaders meet with state lawmakers
CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Politics was the main topic over breakfast this morning in Carolina Beach. Town Council met with state legislators to discuss future town projects.
Much of the discussion focused on the Aquarium Pier project. Leaders also talked about cleaning up Myrtle Grove sound and a streetscape project.
They said the meeting is a good chance for them to make sure they are all on the same page.
“An opportunity to talk to the local elected officials for the town and see what issues are important to them and stay more in tuned to the constituents and know what’s important to them,” said Rep. Danny McComas.
The state legislature opens session in Raleigh Wednesday. Lawmakers said they look forward to addressing important issues.
