Castle Hayne man charged with multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a minor

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — A 74-year-old Castle Hayne man is facing multiple felony charges related to child sexual abuse material, according to arrest warrants filed in New Hanover County.
George Ingmand is charged with five counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, court records show. The warrant was issued Thursday, Aug. 13.
According to the warrants, Ingmand is accused of possessing and duplicating videos and images depicting prepubescent girls. The children depicted in the material are described in the warrants as ranging in age from approximately 3 to 9 years old.
Court documents list Nov. 16, 2021, as the date of offense associated with the charges in the warrant.
A conditions-of-release order states Ingmand is being held at the New Hanover County Jail without bond. The document also indicates he was charged with an offense while on pretrial release for a prior offense.
Ingmand is scheduled to appear in New Hanover County District Court at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, according to court records.
