CFCC broadens fall class schedule across Wilmington and Surf City campuses
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College is expanding its fall course offerings at its Downtown Wilmington and Alston W. Burke Surf City campuses, adding more evening, hybrid and continuing education classes aimed at meeting regional workforce needs.
The expanded schedule includes additional evening science courses at the Downtown Campus, providing prerequisite classes for students planning to enter healthcare programs such as nursing, dental hygiene, radiography, occupational therapy assistant, medical laboratory technology and health and fitness science.
According to the college, the evening offerings include Chemistry I, Anatomy and Physiology I, Geology and Biology I.
The Surf City campus is also expanding its selection of curriculum and workforce development courses.
New curriculum offerings include Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Principles of Financial Accounting, Introduction to Business, Modern Plumbing, Introduction to Refrigeration, HVACR Electricity, Circuit Analysis I, Hydraulics/Pneumatics I and Concepts of Algebra.
The college is also offering continuing education courses in plumbing, outboard systems, small engine mechanics, HVAC, accounting, employee development, introductory computer skills and Mahjong.
College officials said the expanded course schedule is intended to provide students with more flexible options while supporting workforce training needs across the region.
