CFCC hosting first NC Film Vendor Day at Cinespace Studios in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College is bringing film industry professionals, vendors and aspiring filmmakers together for its first NC Film Vendor Day.

The free event will take place Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cinespace Studios in Wilmington.

According to CFCC, attendees will have opportunities to participate in product demonstrations, tour facilities and take part in discussions about North Carolina’s film industry.

The event will also showcase motion picture technology used for camera, lighting, sound and other aspects of production. BOLD Cine, Christie USA and Sony are supporting the event.

Prospective students will also be able to learn about CFCC’s Film and Video Production Technology program, which operates out of Stage 3 at Cinespace Studios.

The program provides hands-on training in areas including camera operation, lighting design, sound engineering, post-production and set management.

Attendance is free, but advance registration is required.
