CFCC Riverfront Boat Show returning to downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College’s annual Riverfront Boat Show is returning to downtown Wilmington later this month.

The free event is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. along the Cape Fear River between Hotel Ballast and the Wilmington Convention Center.

The event will feature a variety of wood and fiberglass boats displayed on land and in the water, including handcrafted student-built vessels and custom boats created by local craftsmen.

CFCC says the family-friendly event gives visitors the opportunity to learn more about the region’s maritime heritage and the art of boat building.

Proceeds from the Riverfront Boat Show support scholarships for students in the college’s boat-building program and help future marine industry professionals continue their education.
