CFCC to host CNA, LPN career fair in Wilmington on Wednesday

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College will host a career fair this week for Certified Nursing Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses, connecting job seekers with healthcare employers from across the region.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the L Building lobby on CFCC’s Downtown Campus at the corner of Second and Red Cross streets.

According to the college, the career fair is designed to give CNAs and LPNs an opportunity to learn about current job openings and speak directly with employers who are hiring.

Participating employers include Novant Health, Interim Healthcare, Home Instead, Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Liberty Healthcare, Visiting Angels, Wilmington’s Parkinson’s Network, and Woodbury Wellness & Rehabilitation.

“Certified Nursing Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses are vital to patient care and in high demand across our community,” CFCC Director of Career Services Gina Mecca said in a statement. “This event gives CNAs and LPNs the chance to meet directly with employers who are looking to hire skilled professionals.”

The career fair is free and open to the public.
