WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College will host a free concert later this month featuring performances by its music faculty and guest musicians from the Wilmington area.

The college’s annual Faculty and Friends Concert is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Union Station Auditorium, Room U-170, at 502 N. Front St. in downtown Wilmington.

The performance will feature a mix of classical music and jazz, with CFCC faculty performing alongside musicians from the local arts community.

“This concert is a wonderful celebration of the incredible talent we have right here on campus, as well as the vibrant partnerships we share with our local arts community,” said Philip Singleton, chair of CFCC’s Commercial, Fine, and Performing Arts Department. “We are thrilled to open our doors and offer the Wilmington community an extraordinary evening of music.”

According to the college, the annual concert is intended to highlight collaboration between its music faculty and other performers in the region.
