WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College is inviting community members interested in a career in law enforcement to attend a series of upcoming information sessions about its Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program.

The in-person sessions will be held at the college’s North Campus, Building NA, located in Castle Hayne, and are designed to give prospective students a closer look at the program’s requirements, curriculum, and career pathways in public safety.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet instructors, ask questions, and learn about the steps needed to enter the field.

CFCC’s BLET program prepares students for entry-level roles in law enforcement agencies across North Carolina. The training includes more than 640 hours of coursework covering areas such as criminal law, patrol procedures, emergency response, hazardous materials, driving, and control and compliance techniques.

College officials say the sessions are intended to help individuals better understand the expectations and opportunities within the program before applying.

For more information about the BLET program, and to view scheduled session dates and time, visit the college’s website.
