Participants will play a full round of golf at the historic course while enjoying additional activities throughout the day, including special tournament offerings and a silent auction.
Proceeds from the event will directly support the museum’s programs, which provide educational and creative experiences for children from infancy through age 10.
“As one of our largest fundraising events, Fore the Children has a direct and lasting impact on our ability to serve families in our region,” said Patti Erkes, the museum’s director of development. “Every sponsorship and every player helps sustain a museum dedicated to learning through play, especially for children who may not otherwise have access to these kinds of experiences.”
Erkes added that the sold-out event highlights the community’s ongoing commitment to supporting opportunities for children to learn and grow.
The tournament is presented by Live Oak Bank in partnership with the museum, with additional support from sponsors including GE Aerospace, Mustaches for Kids Wilmington, Customs Advisory Services, and EmergeOrtho.
Museum officials say community members who want to support the organization can find more information on its website.
