WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Children’s Museum of Wilmington will host its second annual EEK! Week Festival on Saturday, Oct. 31, with Halloween-themed activities for families.

The festival will run from 9 a.m. to noon and feature crafts, hands-on activities and opportunities for children to explore the museum’s interactive exhibits.

Activities will include decorating Halloween bookmarks, playing with pumpkin slime and participating in a courtyard pumpkin party. Children can also collect treats and take-home projects throughout the event.

The museum will also welcome Ken Hackney, a local advocate for coastal snake management, education and conservation. Hackney will bring several snakes for children to learn about in a controlled environment, according to the museum.

Families are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.

Tickets cost $5 for museum members and $15 for nonmembers. Tickets are available at playwilmington.org/eek-week.

The museum also offers daily programming leading up to the festival. A schedule of activities is available at playwilmington.org/daily-programs.
