Coastal Credit Union breaks ground on Leland branch

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Coastal Credit Union broke ground Oct. 27 on a new branch in Leland, with construction expected to be completed by mid-2027.
The 3,300-square-foot branch will be located at 1184 East Cutlar Crossing.
The branch will feature three drive-up video tellers offering service from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week, according to Coastal Credit Union.
The credit union said Wilmington-area economic development and an increasing number of members living nearby were factors in its decision to expand into the market.
“The Wilmington market is among the fastest growing in the country, and the Leland community in particular is booming,” said Tyler Grodi, Coastal’s president and CEO.
Coastal Board Chair Joan Nelson and Grodi were joined by Leland Mayor Brenda Bozeman and Brunswick County Commissioner Frank Williams for the groundbreaking ceremony.
