Columbus County Schools breaks ground on new East View campus in Bolton

BOLTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Columbus County Schools marked a major milestone Thursday as construction officially began on a new school building in Bolton.

District leaders held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new East View Elementary Middle School, a project they say will help shape the future of education in the county.

Officials say the state-of-the-art campus will serve students under the name “East View Lumberjacks” and represents a significant expansion of educational facilities in the area.

Following the ceremony, attendees gathered for a luncheon at the Beatty Event Center.
