Communities in Schools hosting Little Princess Balls across Brunswick County

SOUTHPORT, NC  (WWAY) – It’s almost that time of year for little girls to feel like a princess.

Communities in Schools is hosting their annual Little Princess Ball in February. This year, it will be held in three locations. The balls will take place at the Brunswick Center in Southport, the South Brunswick Islands Center in Calabash and the Leland Cultural Arts Center.

The ball is February 11 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

There will be dancing, face painting, games and more.

The Little Princess Ball is open to girls in kindergarten through fifth grade accompanied by an adult male role model. Little princesses are encouraged to wear their prettiest dress, ball gown, or favorite princess costume.

CIS says last year’s Little Princess Ball sold out with more than 4oo people attending.

“This is one of the most touching events we hold,” said Kathy Smith, Director of Elementary Programs for CIS. “Life gets busy and often girls don’t get to spend meaningful time with their male role model. Role models take the shape of dads, granddads, uncles or other significant men in a child’s life.”

You’re encouraged to sign up early.

Tickets will be on sale January 17 – February 10 for $12 per person. Payment is due when registering. Tickets are location specific and not interchangeable.

Volunteers are always welcome to help. If interested call Kathy Smith at (910) 457-3494.

You can buy tickets at Communities In Schools at 8520 River Road SE in Southport, Brunswick County Parks and Recreation at 80 Referendum Drive in Bolivia, or Leland Cultural Arts Center at 1212 Magnolia Village Way.

You can also buy them online here once they go on sale.
