Couple plans to wed at Carowinds roller coaster

CHARLOTTE, NC (AP) — A Virginia couple plans to get married at
a Carowinds roller coaster this weekend.

WCNC-TV reports the couple plans to say
“I do” on the steps of The Intimidator on Saturday, then take a
ride with family and friends. The couple got engaged on the roller
coaster last August and says they want their wedding to be fun and
memorable.

The Intimidator opened last year. According to the park, it is
the Southeast’s tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster. It
travels 80 mph, up to 232 feet high, and is more than 5,300 feet
long.

Carowinds is a 122-acre amusement park along the border of North
and South Carolina.
