Crews respond to structure fire off of Ocean Isle Beach Road


BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Multiple crews responded to a fully involved structure fire on Pro Shop Drive South West off of Ocean Isle Beach Road South West Tuesday evening, according to Assistant Chief Tommy Moore of the Ocean Isle Beach Fire Department.

Assistant Chief Moore said crews were dispatched to the structure fire around 6:40 P.M. and it took about 20 fire fighters from three different departments to get the blaze under control.

Assistant Chief Moore told us that the structure was an abandoned office building for an old golf course and that the property has been abandoned for about four or five years.

An engineer from Saint Bourke Asset Management and the property manager on scene said that the property has been owned by Drapac Group for the past few years.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
