Downtown Wilmington library’s front doors to reopen soon

WILMINGTON, NC (StarNews) — Patrons should soon be able to walk through the front doors of the main New Hanover County Public Library.

The main entrance to the library at Third and Chestnut streets has been blocked since early this summer by construction on the library’s planned Story Park. Library users have had to enter by way of the county’s parking deck on North Second Street.

Library officials said the front doors should be open by Sept. 19, and the park — originally slated to open in June — should have its grand opening in early October.
