Drivers should expect lane closures Thursday on New Centre Drive, South College Road

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Drivers should expect lane closures Thursday as crews conduct a sewer manhole assessment along New Centre Drive and South College Road.

The closures are scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Crews will close the eastbound right-turn lane in the 5100 block of New Centre Drive. Traffic will be shifted into the inner eastbound lane.

Westbound traffic and the center turning lane will not be affected.

A portion of the southbound right-turn lane in the 300 block of South College Road will also be closed.

Drivers will still be able to turn right from New Centre Drive onto South College Road using the through lane.

The affected lanes are expected to reopen by 3 p.m. Thursday.

Drivers traveling through the area should use caution and watch for crews and work-zone signage.
