Dubliner Pub & Patio’s time may cap out at 18 years

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — After 18 years of serving Wilmington, a popular Irish pub’s time may be coming to an end in the weeks to come.

NCDOT may tear down the Dubliner Pub & Patio on Carolina Beach Road to make room for a new intersection. Plans are still preliminary.

Robin Potts, Dubliner’s manager, says that NCDOT has not kept to its timeline. He says it was supposed to be completed by March of 2018.

“They said that the soonest they’d be getting get back to us would be January, and then January turned into June and meanwhile we were supposed to find out all this last March. so we can’t really move forward on finding a new location,” said Potts.

If this plan does go through, the entire block will be torn down including JT Lee and Son’s and Performance Cycles.
