East Bladen rolls past West Bladen 35-6 in Bladen County rivalry
BLADENBORO, NC (WWAY) — East Bladen defeated West Bladen 35-6 in a Bladen County rivalry matchup Friday night.
West Bladen reached East Bladen territory on its opening drive but turned the ball over on downs after an incomplete pass on fourth down, and this was the closest they would get to scoring for a while.
East Bladen quickly capitalized on the turnover on downs. Jaden Lewis took a handoff on the Eagles’ next play and ran for a touchdown, giving East Bladen an early 7-0 lead.
Lewis added three more touchdown in the first half, taking his total to four in the first half.
East Bladen maintained control throughout the game and went on to defeat West Bladen 35-6.
The victory gave East Bladen the upper hand in the latest meeting between the Bladen County rivals.
