Eight lucky couples to receive free Valentine’s Day weddings

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – Eight lucky couples will be selected to tie the knot for free in Downtown Wilmington on February 14, thanks to an event called “Love is in the Air.”

The New Hanover County Register of Deeds first held the event on Valentine’s Day in 2017, and is continuing to spread the love in 2018.

Each couple’s wedding will last one hour and will be held in a decorated room with seats for guests, a photographer, and more.

Interested couples must have recently purchased a Marriage License, and can sign up online or in person.
