Emergency road work happening on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina Department of Transportation said emergency road work is happening on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge.
The right lane for eastbound traffic heading into Wilmington appears to be closed.
The department’s website shows work on the bridge started at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. The work in the middle of the bridge is anticipated to end at 3 p.m.
Road work happening near the base of the bridge on US-17 Northbound past Blackwell Road is listed as ending around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
NCDOT’s website shows that the emergency road work is expected to continue Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
