Enchanted Airlie sets attendance record

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Despite some rainy weekends the last month, the holidays have been record-setting for Airlie Gardens. The New Hanover County-owned gardens set an attendance record for its annual Enchanted Airlie holiday light show.

More than 28,000 people strolled the property to enjoy light displays, a visit with Santa and a big Lego display.

The sixth annual event ended last night with another sell-out crowd.
