Family, friends remember 14-year-old killed in Wilmington shooting
WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Family and friends gathered Saturday to remember a 14-year-old boy who was shot and killed in Wilmington more than two weeks ago.
A funeral for Jaysir Kamar Price was held Saturday afternoon at Mount Roney Baptist Church.
Wilmington police said Price was found suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds near South Fifth Avenue and Dawson Street on Sept. 9. He died despite lifesaving efforts.
Three people have been charged in connection with the deadly shooting, including Dorian Maurice McNeil, who is accused of killing Price and stealing his phone.
McNeil is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 1.
