FIRST ON 3: Wanted man for probation violation back in custody

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The search for a man wanted for violating his probation is in custody. The US Marshals Service says Gary Canady was arrested today.

Federal agents caused quite a stir at Canday’s family’s home in Castle Hayne last month when they tried to find him. Marshals say Canady violated the terms of his probation for a third time last year.

Canady’s record includes convictions for breaking and entering, drugs and assault on a female.
