Foundation for new Wilmington fire station poured

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Foundation was poured at the future location of Wilmington Fire Department Station 3 on Cinema Drive, according to the City’s official Facebook page.

Wilmington City Council voted to move forward with building in August. The new station on Cinema Drive is replacing the stations on Princess Place Drive and Wallace Drive.

The Wilmington Fire Chief has been pushing for the new location to help with response times and consolidate the city’s stations.
