‘Freaky Friday: A New Musical’ coming to Hampstead in October

HAMPSTEAD, NC (WWAY) — Untitled Theatre Productions will present Disney’s Freaky Friday: A New Musical at the Hampstead Annex October 8-11.

The musical is based on Mary Rodgers’ novel Freaky Friday and the Disney films. It follows a mother and daughter who unexpectedly switch places, forcing them to experience each other’s lives and perspectives.

Emily Graham and Steve Campbell are directing the Untitled Theatre Productions production. Jaime Schumer is the music director, Katie Auletti-Smith is the choreographer and Maya McCall is the stage manager.

Performance schedule

  • Thursday, October 8: 7 p.m.
  • Friday, October 9: 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 10: 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 11: 2 p.m.

All performances will be held at the Hampstead Annex, 15060 Highway 17, Hampstead.

Tickets are $17 and are available through Untitled Theatre Productions.

The production is presented in partnership with Pender County Parks & Recreation and sponsored by Blue Water Candy.
