Fright Light laser show kicks off spooky season at Ingram Planetarium
SUNSET BEACH, NC — Ingram Planetarium is kicking off the Halloween season with its Fright Light laser music show, while also offering educational films focused on space, science and history.
Fright Light features Halloween-themed music, including pop, rock and horror movie melodies, accompanied by laser effects. The hour-long show is scheduled for Fridays through Oct. 31.
The planetarium is also showing Travelers of Light, a dome film exploring the history and theories behind the study of light. The film features scientific figures including Alhazen and Albert Einstein.
Dome theater shows are offered Thursdays through Saturdays, with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. The schedule includes:
- 11 a.m. — Mysteries of Your Brain
- 12 p.m. — Travelers of Light
- 1 p.m. — Seven Wonders
- 2 p.m. — Messengers of Time and Space
- 3 p.m. — The Sky Tonight!
Laser music shows are offered Friday and Saturday evenings. Friday’s schedule includes Laser Floyd: The Wall at 6 p.m. and Fright Light at 7 p.m.
Saturday’s shows include Laser Party at 6 p.m. and Laser Queen at 7 p.m.
Tickets cost $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for children ages 3 to 12. Tickets are available for purchase online through Ingram Planetarium.
