GE Hitachi to hold safety drill Wednesday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — GE Hitachi will conduct an emergency preparedness exercise at its Castle Hayne Road site tomorrow.

The exercise will include local first responders. Nuclear Regulatory Commission inspectors will observe. Thursday they will test emergency sirens at the plant.

Neighbors should be aware that both exercises are tests and not actual emergencies.
