Generations of Generosity celebrates 85 years with United Way of the Cape Fear Area
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — United Way of the Cape Fear Area will host “Generations of Generosity” on Oct. 29, celebrating 85 years of community support and the organization’s history dating back to its beginnings as the Community Chest in the 1940s.
The event will recognize generations of supporters who have contributed their time, talent and resources to United Way’s work across the Cape Fear region.
Guests can expect raffle baskets featuring items from local businesses, guest speakers and a special video celebrating the organization’s 85th anniversary. Each ticket includes dinner and a complimentary drink.
The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Aloft Hotel in downtown Wilmington. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to visit the photo booth, view raffle prizes and network.
Proceeds from the event will benefit United Way of the Cape Fear Area and its community programs.
