Deputies: Gunman locks restaurant workers in cooler

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Deputies are looking for the gunman who they said forced three employees in a restaurant into the cooler Tuesday.

Lt. Jerry Brewer with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office said it happened at the Zaxby’s on Gordon Road around 10:00 p.m. He said a man came into the store and locked three employees in the cooler. Brewer said the money was secured so the would-be robber left with nothing.
