Halyburton burn tomorrow

The City of Wilmington will set fire to Halyburton Park tomorrow. Fifteen to 20 acres will be set as part of a prescribed burn to minimize the risk of wild fire and help native species.

The burn was supposed to happen at the park on South 17th Street last month, but was canceled because of weather conditions. If the burn goes off as planned tomorrow, Halyburton Park will be closed to visitors.
